Under our present rhetorical conditions, calling someone a “literal Nazi” is about the same as calling someone a dirty Commie: these days apparently everyone is one or the other. But Carl Schmitt actually was a literal Nazi, in the sense of literally having joined and justified the National Socialist Party in 1933.
