What a fantastically written takedown of the deep ignorance and arrogance in our culture that manifests in so many ways, including drecky Amazon animated series. Thank you for this, Spencer.
Apparently Ishtar, whom is mentioned in the Old Testament quite a bit, is a Pagan goddess that used the rainbow as her symbol, and had her male priests attempt to... surgically make themselves women-- yikes! Jonathan Cahn wrote about it in his book, Return of the Gods. It's certainly the best explanation I've seen for the utter insanity that's possessed our country.
This explains so much background on Gnosticism that I never understood. The spirit behind it rather than just the history.. or “mystery” as it often wrapped in. Like fools gold: Looks attractive and similar, but is functionally unusable compared to the genuine thing.

Thank you!!
When The Rolling Stones evoked satanic imagery in their music, it was daring, edgy, and provocative, if ill-advised.
When Sam Smith evokes satanic imagery in his music, it's desperate, tired, and boring.
Also I hate that song lol
I remember thinking when all of this transgenderism first appeared “this is just Gnosticism rebooted!”

Love love LOVE this. Been saying this for years, but not quite so eloquently as yourself.
